It is so easy to get caught up in the life of doing, doing, doing!! I think I am a pro at this kind of living. I like to have a list and I like to cross things off. I will even add things to my list that I have already done just so I can have the empowering feeling of crossing it off. I know, I know – there is probably some kind of issue there! In John 14:21 Jesus tell His disciples “Whoever has my commands and obeys me, he is the one who loves me.” My first heartbeat after reading that scripture was one of joy. I like to do. But after further scrutiny I realized Jesus was not just asking us to do things in His name, but to obey His commands. There is a big difference there. I can do things all day long – things that are good or appear good, BUT if He has not commanded the task for my life I may not being showing my love for Him like I thought I was. We can’t just say that we love God. According to this scripture God is looking to see if we obey His commands. Do you love God; do you love your neighbor as yourself? That is a good place to start.
God speaks thru all of us in many different ways. Here are just brief moments God speaks thru Leigh in every day life and adventures.
